For many non-profits, volunteers are an invaluable resource and often the backbone of the organization. From assisting with day-to-day tasks to lending extra hands during large events, having passionate, reliable volunteers can help ensure a sustainable, strong future for an organization. Rick will focus upon recruiting and retaining volunteers. He will discuss how to motivate people, including some generational differences, and how to overcome the obstacles in recruitment and retention. Rick will also explore the reasons that we lose some good volunteers, and what you can do to prevent that from happening.
